Abstract
Teachers are the first responders to support the
well-being of every child in the classroom, be it
emotional, or related to health or rehabilitation.
In the modern classroom, the term, ‘diversity’
includes children with special needs and disability,
migrant children, children living in poverty, children
of single parents, adopted children, children with
parents who are seriously ill and many others with
unique needs that require special attention. Preservice
teacher preparation should consider the
multidimensional roles during teacher training as a
preparation for inclusion.
