Abstract
My introduction to Nali-Kali was in 2007 through
the Child-Friendly School Initiative (CFSI) in Surpur,
Yadgir district. We were working in one block for
the overall, holistic improvement of government
schools and Nali-Kali was an important component
in this initiative. For the team in Surpur, after a lot
of struggle, it was clear that the education level of
the children would improve only when attention is
focussed on the teaching-learning process and that
was possible through the Nali-Kali methodology.
