Abstract

In this article, I show that for any given triangle ABC, there exist two triangles that are inscribed in it and have the following properties: the two triangles have equal area, and their centroids are equidistant from the centroid of △ABC. As the two triangles are related in such a nice way, I call them a “friendly pair” of triangles.
