Abstract
Teachers at the primary level may not be
subject specialists, but they need to be
specialists in two important respects: they
need to understand what it means to learn,
and they need to understand what it is to be a child.
Today I wish to share with you some of my understanding
about these two topics, in order to address the
question of how we can bring about learning (including
language learning) in our classrooms.
